Bring me Sunshine ( Kelly Tracey) came into the Coppice care home in the spring of this year to entertain our residents and immediately spread warmth and happiness around our little home, Kelly not just performed but really engaged with all our resident evolving them in her show from start to finish.
Bring me sunshine truly lives up to its name in every way, Kelly embraced the Coppice and its residents and soon became a regular visitor to us Kelly engages not just with our residents but families to, Kelly gave them lots of ideas over the few months till summer and to that end we had a garden party and incorporated a birthday for Marion in with it, what a fabulous day she made it for all, we were dressed up, rocking and rolling with the sun on our backs with shandy’s and spritzers for our residents and their loved ones going down a treat, Kelly even had our staff members getting involved which is a task I have found hard to do in the past. a true party atmosphere that our residents and families talk about even now.
Bring me sunshine has made a real impact on our home and now regularly comes in to the Coppice and spreads a little joy & happiness, Kelly also helped our residents and families celebrate remembrance by putting on a fabulous show for us even when at short notice our lift broke down she went the extra mile and put on two shows one upstairs and one downstairs she brought flags and bunting the day before the show for us to decorate upstairs so it looked the same as downstairs our families and residents didn’t miss out on a thing that day, there was lots of laughter and tears from us all watching Kelly get the most from our residents and reminisce about the old days.
We all hope that Kelly & the Bring me sunshine organisation goes from strength to strength in the future with her continued hard work, commitment and her passion in helping to spread a little sunshine and giving a little back within the Oldham community is a real credit to her.
